"Before purchasing Culver’s in 2004, we had planned on our personal accountant who prepared our annual taxes to take care of our business accounting needs. After just a few months of doing business, we realized that we needed to explore other options due to the magnitude of accounting issues that had to be done each month.

We asked a few of our friends, who are also business owners, who they used for a CPA, and Doug Rogers’ name came up. We gave him a call and have been pleased with our decision ever since. He was able to take care of our monthly payroll and sales taxes as well as monthly P&Ls. We actually received a compliment from our corporate office about HK getting our P&Ls done so quickly and accurately each month.

Doug has helped us in the process of starting another business, purchasing real estate and working with the Wisconsin Business Development. He has acted as a financial advisor and works with our banker to strategically plan the best decisions for our business. Doug makes himself available and responds quickly to questions, concerns or requests we may have.

After a few months of being with HK, we realized that it would be easier and more cost effective in the long run to have HK take care of our payroll. We have been pleased with that decision as well. I even remember a day a few years back when I was doing payroll on a Monday morning, and there was a problem. It just happened to fall on a holiday so HK’s office was closed for the day. HK is such a devoted company to their clients that they give out their personal home phone numbers in case of emergencies such as this one. I called Diane Breitbach at home and she helped me, no questions asked. She was very polite and professional.

The associates at HK run a very professional company and keep the client informed of any changes in the tax laws that might affect us. At the same time they are also very personable and compassionate. It has been a pleasure to work with HK, Doug Rogers, Diane and the payroll team.
