"In January 2011, we celebrated our 25th anniversary as a Little Caesars Pizza Franchisee.
When we first came to town, Ron Helle contacted us to see if we needed any accounting help. I have no idea how he found us. We were young, in our late 20s, and Ron has been like a BIG Brother to us. We were young, in a new city, and most of the replies were “this town has plenty of pizza shops, you will never make it.” Ron had confidence in us. He looks out for our best interests and was not only concerned about us, but took an interest in our two kids, our families back home and what was going on in our lives.
We have always used Ron to prepare a monthly P&L statement and to process our bi-weekly payroll. As a Little Caesars Franchise, we are required to send them statements quarterly and at the end of the year our income taxes. As hands-on operators, Mary and I can focus the majority of our time managing our store and employees and giving great customer service. If we did our own payroll and financial statements, I do not know when we would find the time! As it is, I still do too much paperwork. The part of our job that is the most fun is being in the store making pizzas and interacting with our employees who are mostly high school and college age.
Ron and his staff has always been very receptive to any Little Caesars changes. We give them a P&L statement in their formats with their chart of accounts. Ron gives us advice as to where any profits should go and to where they can earn the best interest. He gives us ongoing advice as to how we can save on our personal income taxes. Every 2 to 3 years, Little Caesars will audit us. By having a great CPA working at a great company, we always pass the audit with high grades. If they have any questions, Ron and his great staff promptly respond to them. With the constant changes in tax laws and regulations, we are confident that no mistakes will be made."
